Manchester, Feb 6 (NationPress) Manchester United has officially acknowledged that Lisandro Martinez suffered a cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during their recent 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
The Argentine player was taken off on a stretcher in the 76th minute following an attempt to challenge Palace's forward, Ismaila Sarr.
In a statement released on Thursday, the club confirmed the severity of Martinez’s injury, indicating that he will miss the remainder of the season and may be out for over six months.
